The image is of a footballer dribbling with a ball he is
looking down and concentrating on the task ahead. He is in a running pose which
gives you some of the intensity of the image. And you can feel that by the
colours that are use because it is mainly dark and a bright tense blue. This will
keep the audience on the edge because they would want to know what is going to
happen next. And it shows a shadow trying to tackle him.
They use messi and zidane in this advert very well because
they are very famous footballers. And zidane is in the background watching on
where as messi is in the foreground dribbling and it gives a contrast from past
to present. The advertising of the boot and using messi would make many people
who play football want those boots because they want to be similar to messi.
And using messi in the advert was very wise because he is one of the most
famous footballers of today. Whereas zidane was the one of the most famous of
his day. It also shows messi dribbling towards a light and running away from
darkness.
The blue gives a more childish and playful feel to it and
also danger because it reminds me of electricity. Adidas also use the word ‘spark’
to remind you that its electricity and danger. The writing is the same colour
as the boots and it connotes that messi is as fast as electricity. And it is
saying to the audience if you have these boots you too can be as fast as
electricity. The text ‘every team needs
THE SPARK’ is saying that messi is the spark for his team because he has those
boots.
The boots are in the lower half of the image but they are
still eye catching because of the colour. And the company’s logo is in the
bottom right hand corner of the picture and the viewer knows straight away that
adidas made the advert.
WWW: You've picked out some aspects that might appeal to an audience.
ReplyDeleteEBI: You really need a deeper level of analysis at A level - and also to display images correctly in your blog. I think you could have made a lot more of the Zidane/Messi factor in terms of target audience.
LR: What does the use of Zidane/Messi suggest to you about the possible target audience?
